The UK’s regional critics have just voted for their film of the year in The Richard Attenborough Film Awards.
These are the prestigious annual prizes decided by arts and entertainment journalists working for local papers, websites and broadcasters all over the country. For the first time, the awards have been dedicated to Lord Attenborough who, for more than six decades, has served the British film industry non-stop as actor, producer, director and all-round champion.
Hundreds of votes were cast. The overall choice as Film of the year was: Atonement
